Burning Bush Barber Academy is a nonprofit barber school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, dedicated to developing skilled professionals grounded in faith, integrity, and service. Through hands-on technical training and biblically informed character formation, students are equipped to grow both personally and professionally. Our team of experienced barbers and committed leaders provides mentorship, structure, and accountability throughout the journey. Our Story

Burning Bush Barber Academy was founded on a simple but powerful belief: skill changes circumstances, and character sustains success.

In Lancaster, Pennsylvania, barbering has long been more than a profession — it’s connection, mentorship, creativity, and community. Our academy was created to preserve that tradition while strengthening it with faith, discipline, and servant leadership.

The vision began with a passion for barbering and a deepening commitment to faith. Growing up in Lancaster, founder Andre Gonzalez developed an early love for the craft and, over time, a stronger relationship with God. What started as personal growth became a calling to give back — to create a place where technical excellence and spiritual formation could develop side by side.

But this academy is not built by one person alone.

Several members of our Board of Directors have barbering experience themselves and understand both the discipline of the trade and the responsibility that comes with serving clients well. Others bring leadership, ministry, and professional expertise that strengthen our structure and accountability. Together, the board and staff form a team of individuals who genuinely care — people who have witnessed Andre’s personal, professional, and spiritual growth and are committed to cultivating the same transformation in every student.

Burning Bush Barber Academy exists to provide more than job training. It offers mentorship, structure, accountability, and a supportive community. Here, students refine their technical skills while also developing integrity, consistency, and confidence.
