Cutting with Compassion is the spiritual and character formation component of our academy. This course develops biblical literacy, integrity, discipline, and servant leadership while preparing students to live out their faith in their daily work and relationships.

​

This program must be completed alongside The Burning Bush Barber Academy: Intermediate Barbering in order to graduate.

What You Will Learn

Students will explore and apply:

• The life and teachings of Jesus

• Biblical principles for daily decision-making

• Integrity and ethical client care

• Servant leadership in the workplace

• Financial stewardship and responsibility

• Time management and discipline

• Professional conduct rooted in Scripture

• Community, accountability, and spiritual growth

Program Structure

​

Duration: 11 months
Schedule: 1 hour per day, Monday–Friday
Format: Classroom instruction, guided discussion, reflective journaling, and practical life application

​

This course intentionally connects Scripture to real-life barbering situations, client relationships, finances, leadership, and personal growth.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion, students will demonstrate:

• Foundational biblical understanding

• Ethical and professional decision-making

• Consistent personal discipline

• Christ-centered leadership principles

• Readiness to serve clients with dignity and compassion

Completion Requirements

​

To pass this course, students must:

• Maintain a minimum of 90% attendance

• Actively participate in discussions and assignments

• Complete all required reflections and practical applications

• Uphold the academy’s code of conduct

Tuition & Fees

​

This course is required as part of the full academy program.

Faith-Based Fundamentals Tuition: $1,250 (Originally $3,500, now 50% off until June 2026)

​This fee covers ministry outreach, travel to outreach sites, housing/food during outreach, and related materials.

Registration Fee: $0 (Originally $35, waived until June 2026)

Applicants must:

• Have completed at least the 9th grade (Pennsylvania requirement)

• Submit a completed application

• Meet with admissions

• Commit to completing both required academy programs
